All Lo Campbell wants is to be a normal teenager-to go to one high school, live in one place, and have one real friend. Instead, she travels the country with her mother, chasing the unknown, the what else that's out there...
Until one day, the what else chases back.
Determined to rescue her mom from whatever supernatural being took her, Lo will need more help than a badly dressed demon obsessed with country music. She's going to need a Tracker-and lucky for her, she finds one. Shaw is strong, good-looking, possibly available, and utterly infuriating. Sure, he may have secrets, and his help costs more than a brand-new car, but she'll have to deal with him if she wants to find her mother-and get her home alive.
Hello Everyone! I am excited to be one of the blog tour stops on the The Things They’ve Taken by Katie McElhenney Blog Tour hosted by YaReads Blog Tours. Thank you YaReads for including me and at the end of the post check out YAReads’ giveaway to win a road trip snack pack for your next adventure.
The Things They’ve Taken by Katie McElhenney, from the synopsis sounds like an exciting paranormal novel which brings to my mind the movie Casper with Christina Ricci and Bill Pullman, with a teen/parent traveling from place to place in search of ghosts. McElhenney’s book having the same family dynamic with Lo and her mother, has me interested. Throw in Shaw, a “strong, good-looking” and “badly dressed demon obsessed with country music” and I’m sold! I’m definitely adding The Things They’ve Taken to my TBR list and can’t wait to read.
What did you think? Did the teasers leave you wanting to know what happens next? I know it left me wanting to know what happens. Let me know your thoughts!
