Step into the Honey Club, where every sensual boundary will be tested in search of the ultimate pleasure…
Branch doesn’t exist. Living off the grid, he’s looking for a way to forget his past and the guilt that plagues him. But no woman has ever been able to bring him to the edge he craves.
After a traumatic experience of her own, Evangeline stepped away from the decadent world of the Honey Club. But when she gets Branch’s offer—to play without boundaries or commitments—it’s too tempting for her to refuse.
As their passion ignites, Evangeline and Branch push each other to their farthest limit, fulfilling their darkest desires while falling harder and deeper than they ever imagined.

To start, here is a sneak peek of THE FARTHEST EDGE and afterwards check out my review of this scintillating novel that not only had me hooked by how hot these characters were together, but also by how emotionally engaging they were as well.
EXCERPT
“Get you don’t want to and won’t push it. Hope you do. Hope you get over it. Hope you come back to us and to you in all the ways you should do that. You can’t find that in you…” He shrugged but didn’t stop coming at her. “That’s the way it is. I can’t push that. You gotta find that in you. But connecting with you. Seeing where you’re at. Getting you to come back to the family. Taking your pulse is only part of why I asked you here. I also got another reason.”
Evangeline took another sip of her coffee before she asked, “And what’s that?”
“Got a sub for you.”
She blinked and her stomach pitched.
“Sorry?” she queried.
“Perfect for you. No strings. No boundaries. This guy is not looking to connect. He’s not looking for a relationship. Hell, sheer number of Dommes he goes through, you might only get one crack at him before he vanishes from your life. But at least you’ll get off the way you like it that one time. And if you can keep him around awhile, you might have some fun, break yourself back in, give yourself what you need, without any baggage.”
Um.
Whoa.
That all sounded way too good to be true.
But still.
“I’m not…I don’t think…” She swallowed. “I’m not ready for that, and to be honest, Ary, I’m not sure I’ll ever go back there.”
“Fool thing to think, more fool thing to do,” Aryas returned instantly. “Especially when you got a chance to have a go with this guy. You got a shot at a guy like this guy, you should take it. And I mean that for you. Only for you. For where you’re at. For what I suspect you need about now. He doesn’t want to hold hands. He doesn’t want to share a drink in the hunting ground. He doesn’t want you to give him your number or stake your claim on him in the club or anywhere. He wants you to get him off and he’s open to anything you wanna do to pull that off.”
He’s open to anything you wanna do to pull that off.
She fought squirming in her seat and it made her angry.
This was not a part of her life anymore.
Arys’ Review
The Farthest Edge by Kristen Ashley is book two in her Honey series and it brings us back to the Bee’s Honey where Branch, Aryas’ hired man, has been offered something he can’t refuse… a Mistress who can push him over the farthest edge. An ex-soldier who “no longer exists” and has been living as a non-entity, is being haunted by his guilt and his past as he waits to get his revenge on the man who screwed him and his team over. With only the purpose of avenging his fallen team members driving him, he needs something or someone to bring him to the pain and edge he craves.
Evangeline Brooks has been gone from her life at the Bee’s Honey, after a traumatic experience left her scared and unsure. However, Branch offers her a chance to step back into the life she left behind without boundaries or any promises of more. Add in Aryas throwing down the gauntlet in regards to her skills as a Domme and… well she’s never one to refuse a challenge.
Soon the heat and passion between these two broken characters turns from a flickering flame to a burning inferno as they push each other to the farthest edges of their desires and emotions. Neither prepared for the reality of what happens when you find exactly who you’re looking for.
Evangeline and Branch’s story is slow to start, but once they’re together and pulling away the layers that surround them, the novel begins to pick up the pace and completely held my attention. I’ll admit, though, there were moments where the D/s dynamics changed for a little while, which kind of pulled me out of the story because I couldn’t help but feel that their switching roles took away a little from why they accepted the offer to meet in the first place. It wasn’t bad though because those parts felt quite reminiscent of previous Kristen Ashley novels with the traditional very protective alpha heroes taking charge, which Branch definitely does.
A big fan of Kristen Ashley’s novels and her alpha heroes, I am happy to say I am liking her new adventures into exploring BDSM, alpha-subs and their Dommes. I enjoyed Evangeline and Branch’s story and all of their moments together, especially, as they began to connect more and learn about the other. Also, Ms. Ashley does a great job in The Farthest Edge in portraying Branch as an alpha-submissive who is completely sure of his nature and his needs. The opposite of his friend, Olivier, from The Deep End (book one), who was only starting to learn to come to grips with that side of himself with the help of Amelie.
Besides the main couple, I also loved that we got to see Amelie and Olivier again and that they were able to be part of Evangeline and Branch’s story. Lastly, another character that stood out for me in this book was Stellan. I really hope Ms. Ashley writes a whole book for him. He really grew as a character and won me over in this novel. I’d love to know more about him.
Overall, The Farthest Edge by Kristen Ashley is a sexy and enthralling second installment to a great series so far. I very much recommend and look forward to reading more from Kristen Ashley.
